Who is our God? A God of Wonder! Psalms 77:14 “You are the God of great wonders? You demonstrate your awesome power among the nations.” (NLT) From the time I was saved at the age of 9 years old, (1956) my God has done marvelous things and showed me so many surprises as I have walked with Him. Living a Christian life with the Lord is FUN and EXCITING! Yes, of course we have battles and great disappointments BUT who do we turn to BUT GOD! THE KING OF KINGS, THE LORD OF LORDS, OUR WAYMAKER, OUR FATHER AND JESUS CHRIST OUR SAVIOR WHO NEVER LEAVES US OR FORSAKES US! (DEUT. 31:6-8) WE ARE WINNERS FROM THE GET GO! THE devil IS DEFEATED!
What is the definition of the word surprise? 1) to come upon suddenly or unexpectedly; to cause to feel wonder or astonishment by being unexpected. That’s how life is with the Lord; He brings those SUDDENLIES that we never expect and they can be an answer to prayer, or a blessing for us being obedient to God’s voice or us seeing a miracle as we step out in faith!
This summer I was in Brownsville, Texas in the drive-in line at our bank and I hear someone yell my name. I looked over to the next lane and there was a very close friend that is also in the ministry. She wanted me to pull over to the parking lot to talk to me after I finished my bank transition. As I was waiting to finish, the Lord spoke to me and said “Give her $100.” So, I pulled the $100 bill out with great excitement that I was on a BLESSING MISSION for the Lord. When I pulled over to the parking lot, I got into her car with the bill in my hand and handed it to her and said “the Lord wanted me to give this to you!” She started laughing and I was wondering what that was all about, until she looked at me and she handed me a $100 bill and said; “God just told me to give you this to bless you!” A seed sown into good soil and a harvest in less than 5 minutes! SURPRISE!
